Essential Check Lists - Make sure you have all necessary official documentation.
(e.g. passport, visa, e-tickets) information (carried separately or scanned into a laptop or PDF for fast reference.)
• A list of contact numbers for your banks if there is card theft.
• Take enough of any required medication to survive delays, carried in original container(s) inside your hand luggage
• Always check the security phase of the country to which you are travelling. There may be recent or forthcoming events that have implications.
• Check for seasonal weather threats.
• Take your itinerary with you and leave a copy with a member of your family or friends. • Save the local emergency number to your mobile.
• If you are travelling to a country with a risk of malaria, take preventive medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
• Ensure you have adequate travel insurance and be familiar with what your policy cover.
