What do all these places have in common?
They have all been unwitting and unwilling sites of extremist terrorist outrages, all of which were unannounced and involved loss of life and significant injuries.
The number of such attacks worldwide, has risen from 13 in 2012, to 115 in 2015.
The Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Bernard Hogan-Hough is quoted as saying “It means an attack is highly likely. You could say it is a case of when, not if.”
How individuals react in these circumstances can have a great effect on their survival.
An attack can occur at anytime and anywhere; an airport, train station, shopping mall, place of worship or an office. All have been targeted recently.
NOWHERE IS IMMUNE
The way individuals are prepared and trained, will have a huge impact on the individual survival in these situations.
All responsible companies carry out fire drills, to prepare staff. Protaris advocates similar levels of staff training, to ensure preparedness.
Our ethos “REACT, ACT, SURVIVE” will assist in achieving a positive outcome from what will be a bewildering and confused situation.
Protaris has developed a training programme, designed specifically to make individuals aware of how to minimise risks to themselves and how to react in particular situations.
Our elearning programmes begin with “Traveller”, enabling individuals to be trained in the basic “must do's” when travelling, what to look out for, how to behave and most importantly, what to avoid.
“Guardian” goes further into guidance on terrorist, criminal lone wolf attacks in an informative and engaging format, that is easy to understand.
Both of these programmes are supported by our best selling publication, “Passport to Protection”, which is available as a pocket book, ereader or USB stick.
Protaris is able to offer bespoke training and specific risk analysis of companies and countries, to define areas that require attention.
Protaris continues to advise, train and support Governmental Departments and large multinational companies as well as SMEs and individuals.
No project is too large or too small.
